Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms cover your use of the website at drainunblockerleeds.co.uk. By using the site or sending a request, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site, because we cannot offer it on other terms.

2. What the site does

Drain Unblocker Leeds gives information about drainage services in Leeds and West Yorkshire. It also gives you a form to send a request for help. The site is not the engineer. As a result, the work on your drains is agreed between you and the engineer who takes your job.

3. Quotes and pricing

The engineer sets the price, not this site. Ask for a written quote before any work starts, because a written price is easier to check. If the job turns out bigger, ask for the extra cost in writing before you agree to it.

4. Call-out charges, insurance and guarantees

These details vary from one engineer to the next. Before you agree, ask whether there is a call-out charge, what insurance the engineer holds and what guarantee comes with the work. Since the site cannot answer for them, please get each answer in writing.

5. Payment

The site does not take payment. You agree how and when to pay with the engineer, so ask before the work starts. Keep a receipt, because you may need it later.

6. Cancellations

If you need to cancel or move a visit, tell the engineer as soon as you can. Ask when you book whether they need notice and whether a charge applies. You can also email us, however the engineer must hear it from you.

7. Information on this site

The pages and guides give general advice, and they are not a survey of your property. Every drain is different, so check the facts with a qualified engineer. Prices, rules and water company duties can change, for example when a law or a policy updates.

The site covers drains only. Work on gas appliances needs a Gas Safe registered engineer, so use one for that while you handle the drains separately. For a blockage in a public sewer, contact Yorkshire Water. For a blocked road gully, contact Leeds City Council.

8. Emergencies

The request form is open 24/7, but the site cannot promise that anyone will attend, or when. Still, the form is the quickest way to ask. If anyone is in danger, call 999. If sewage or flood water is coming into your home, say so in the request and say it is urgent in the notes.

9. Access and safety

You need to give the engineer safe access to the drains. If access is hard, or the job differs from your description, the price may change, since the work may take longer. Tell the engineer about any hazards at your property before they arrive.

10. Liability

We take care with the content of this site, but we cannot promise that every page is complete or up to date. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the work, the prices or the conduct of an engineer. Nor are we liable for a loss that comes from relying on the pages.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law. For example, nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with drain work, raise it with the engineer first and keep your quote and receipt. If you cannot settle it, Citizens Advice can explain your options, since it gives free guidance. If your concern is about this site or how it handled your request, use our online contact form.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version always appears on this page, so check back now and then. The law of England and Wales covers these terms.
